[PT] Vinte e quatro alunos oriundos de Itália, Espanha, França, Eslováquia e Portugal, com idades entre os 12 e os 22 anos, foram selecionados para participar, entre os dias 1 e 6 de setembro, numa “Semana Intensiva de Piano”, sob a orientação de um prestigiado corpo docente internacional, dirigido pela professora Irene Ainstein e por Pedro Calquinha, professor do Conservatório Regional do Algarve.
O corpo docente integra ainda a professora Marlies van Gent, do Royal Conservatory of The Hague (Países Baixos) e da Imola Piano Academy (Itália); a professora Minerva Martínez Morán, pianista e acompanhadora no Conservatório Profissional da Corunha (Espanha); o professor Roberto Ghilarducci, compositor e professor de piano e composição no Liceo Musicale “A. Passaglia”, em Lucca (Itália); e a professora Elisabetta Fiorini, pianista de Roma, atualmente docente de piano no mesmo Liceo Musicale, com formação em piano e composição no Conservatório de Santa Cecília e uma carreira internacional que cruza música e dança.
Puderam candidatar-se estudantes de instituições com programas de mobilidade Erasmus KA121 e KA122 que comprovaram ter um nível artístico elevado enquanto instrumentistas.
[EN] The Algarve Regional Conservatory in Faro selected 24 pupils coming from ao Italy, Spain,France, Slowakia and Portugals, aged between 12 and 22, to attend classes in the piano department, under the guidance of an international faculty of excellence, directed by professor Irene Ainstein and Pedro Calquinha, professor of the Algarve Regional Conservatory. Joining them are professor Marlies van Gent, from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (Netherlands) and the Imola Piano Academy (Italy), professor Minerva Martínez Morán, pianist and accompanist at the Professional Conservatory of La Coruña (Spain), professor Roberto Ghilarducci, composer and professor of piano and composition at the Liceo Musicale “A. Passaglia” in Lucca (Italy), and professor Elisabetta Fiorini, a pianist from Rome, currently teaching piano at the same Liceo Musicale, with a background in piano and composition at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia and an international career that bridges music and dance.
Students from institutions with Erasmus mobility programs KA121 and KA122 who demonstrated a proven artistic level as instrumentalists were eligible to participate.

Irene Ainstein
English born, Irene Ainstein entered the Superior School of Music in the Netherlands where she obtained excellent notes and diplomas as Soloist, Chambermusic and Accompanist. She has played in a number of ensembles and orchestras and has performed in Holland, Germany, England, Spain, Portugal and China. She has also made recordings and participated in several festivals and masterclasses in Germany, England, Italy and Holland. Irene Ainstein continues to perform in concerts with members of the Orchestra of Algarve, the violinist Michael Thomas, Edua Zadory and she is the choice accompanist for singers such as the soprano Birgit Wegemann and mezzo soprano Esther Pierweijer. She is also a key member of the Dutch Piano Quartet which performs every year in Holland and in the Algarve. She is coordinator of Portugal at Imola Summer Festival, academia pianística Imola, where already for several years she has been member of the jury in the famous piano competition, city of Imola, and she has often been invited as member of the jury at international piano competitions. She is teaching piano at the Conservatório Regional do Algarve Maria Campina, where she is as well Pedagogical Director.A consistent number of her pupils succeeded in well known piano competitions!
Marlies van Gent
Born in Rotterdam, she began studying pianoforte at her hometown Conservatory. She kept on with her studies in Amsterdam. She got her diploma in education and held Masterclasses in Goslar, Germany, with Erwin Schiffer and Andre Gertler. A consistent number of her students succeeded in piano competitions such as YPF, Steinway Competition, Princess Christina competition, Concertgebouw Amsterdam Competition and Franz Liszt Competition. Some of her students starred in international carriers. She teaches piano at Den Haag’s Conservatory, the Netherlands, and at Imola’s Accademia Pianistica.
Pedro Calquinha
Pedro was born in Beja in 1984 and holds a degree in Music Education and Music Theory. He is currently completing a degree in Piano Performance at the University of Évora. Since 2006, he has taught at various public and private schools across Portugal and is currently teaching piano, choir, and music theory at the Conservatório Regional do Algarve . His career has alternated between teaching, music production, and live performance. In 2019, he completed a Master's degree in Music Teaching, specializing in Music Theory and Musical Initiation, at the School of Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University in Porto.
Elisabetta Fiorini
Elisabetta Fiorini was born in Rome. She began studying music and dance at the age of six. She later enrolled at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia, where she attended classes in piano and, later, composition. She graduated in piano under the guidance of M° Konstantin Bogino, she follow him in Belgrade Academy and in Portogruaro (Veneto) and perfected his studies of chamber music , with important musicians such as Dino Asciolla, Alain Meunier, Pavel Vernikov, Christian Ivaldi, Il trio di Trieste and others. Parallel to his musical studies, she delved into dance at the “Balletto di Roma.” She carries out an intense professional activity in both fields, playing in chamber ensembles from duo to quintet with internationally renowned artists such as Pavel Vernikov, Alain Meunier, Dino Asciolla, Silvye Gazeau and Anatole Liebermann. After a brief professional career as a dancer, she specialized in teaching, obtaining a diploma from the Royal Academy and later a diploma in educational dance at the Mousikè center. In 1997 she founded the cultural center “Fuoricentro - Spazio Danza Teatro e Spettacolo” in Lucca, where she serves as artistic director, dance teacher, choreographer and event organizer. Since 2022 she has been the director of an international contemporary dance program held in Lucca. She curates the staging of numerous dance performances for children, participating in international festivals in cities such as Paris, Vienna, Ljubljana and Rome. She collaborates with schools and regional theater associations (ARTEVEN, ATCL, Teatro di Roma, Teatro del Giglio ) in educational projects. She is a piano teacher at the Liceo Musicale “Passaglia” in Lucca. In 2022 she founded and direct TRY an International training and research program for Young contemporary dancers.
Roberto Ghilarducii
After graduating in Piano Performance in 1989 with full marks at the “L. Boccherini” Conservatory in Lucca, Roberto Ghilarducci, subsequently completed his Master’s degree in Music Education and a Master’s degree as Soloist. In 1990, Ghilarducci was the sole Italian winner of a scholarship awarded during the “International Advanced Courses” in Bergamo held by Maestro Marek Jablonsky (Poland). He then continued his piano performance studies by attending master classes held by M. Shuku Iwasaky (Japan) and M. Maria Golia. He completed his studies in Milan, attending the Piano Specialization Course with Maestro Vincenzo Balzani for six years. Distinguishing himself in national competitions, he was invited to play, as a soloist and in chamber ensembles, for various musical events and artistic societies, performing in many Italian theatres. He also collaborated with various orchestra and with opera singers in a permanent artistic company, performing in concerts dedicated to Italian chamber arias, to warm universal acclaim. In 1997, he participated in the 3rd Edition of the International Festival "Anfiteatro Jazz" in Lucca in a piano duo where the pianist Michel Petrucciani was also performing. Devoted himself to composition, he has published the collection "Suggestioni per Pianoforte" and the musical composition "On the Street" published by “Casa Editrice Rugginenti” in Milan; he has also published the four-hand piano triptych entitled "Metamorhposis" (2020), “Audacia” and “Obsésion” (2021), “In viaggio” and the collection “Il giardino segreto” (2022) published by “Da Vinci Publishing” in Osaka (Japan). In 2024 he was invited to perform as a pianist and composer at the Italian Cultural Insitute in Munich (Germany). In addition to his artistic commitments, he also engages in intense didactic pursuits, such as teaching the piano at the Musical Arts High School “A. Passaglia” in Lucca.
Minerva Martínez Morán
Born in 1982 in Leon (northwest Spain), she began her music studies at the age of 8 in her home town. She continued his Bachelor’s studies at the Oviedo Conservatory with Professor Francisco Jaime y Pantin, finishing with the highest grades. In 2005 he entered the prestigious Mozarteum University of Salzburg, where he pursued master's studies in piano and chamber music under the direction of Professor Imre Rohmann for 4 years. During this period she also specialized in the vocal repertoire of German lied. She subsequently pursued undergraduate and master's degrees in musicology, obtaining her doctorate (cum laude) with her thesis "Musical Activity in León during the 19th Century" at Oviedo University. He regularly publishes articles in various specialized journals. In her role as a pianist, she remains active, with recitals as a soloist and concerts in chamber music ensembles and forms a stable 4-hand duo with pianist Francisco Damián Hernández Díez. She has also collaborated with several orchestras (OSPA, OSCO, OSIGI...). She currently teaches at the professional conservatory of La Coruña as a piano teacher and accompanying pianist.
